Our Mission
We hope to have a working prototype that’s a multi-robot system that is able to navigate through a dynamic environment using an AI pathfinding algorithm that we have successfully trained. It should also be able to identify target objects. We also aim to have enough funding to cover the costs of building robots and also attract the attention from investors and robotic companies.
Project Scope
Team Ride will be a small budget, interdisciplinary project spanning over 3 academic years. We will focus on designing and building robots optimized for disastrous environments and search and rescue applications. We will also focus on building navigation algorithms capable of obstacle avoidance and object identification in order to aid or ultimately replace the dangerous job of an earthquake search and rescue operative. We hope to, ultimately, publish a research paper that will propel the world toward this goal.
